  • Biography

    Hi, I'm Christine Nunn. 

    2001-

    At 10yrs I first began playing squash in Canberra at Western Creek Squash center with my siblings, a wooden racket and a green dot

    2002-

    At 11yrs I first represented ACT at the Australian Junior tournaments, "Greenshield" being the very first. I then went on to Captain the team each year at different Junior events from 2006-2009

    2005-

    At 14yrs I was selected as a member of the Australian National Talent Squad (a group of talented players eligible to represent Australia at the 2009 World Junior Championships)

    2006-

    At 15 yrs Won the MC Hazell Award presented my squash Australia at the Australian Junior Championships for outstanding sportsmanship and overall improvement.

    2009-

    At 18yrs I was selected as proud Captain of the Australian Junior Team to compete at the World Junior Championships, Chennai, India

    2010-

    At 19 yrs i had a year off competing, choosing to work full time in hospitality and retail in Canberra.

    2011-

    At 20yrs i began as a full time WSA player competing on the Australian Tour and moved to Brisbane to train with the AIS after receiving my first Australian Institute of Sports Scholarship

    2013-

    At 22yrs I am enjoying my Squash Career! I moved from Brisbane to Melbourne and joined the MCC Squash Team! I am a member of the 2014 Commonwealth Games Shadow Squad and I made my first tour 5 final!

    I am currently enjoying my squash career with the support of the:

    -Australian Institute of Sport

    -Australian Sports Commission

    -Oliver Sport Australia

    -Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Center

    -Squash Vic Academy 

    -Coaches: Rod Eyles and Sarah Fitzgerald 

    -and my fantastic family and friends.


  • Interests

    -learning: anything about everything! I enjoy hearing things I have never heard before and I love being surprised by random facts. -music, literature and movies: I love relaxing to new music, reading (mostly biographies) and watching romantic comedies or docos. -2014 Undertaking a bachelor of education at RMIT

  • Ambitions

    After a successful 2013, my current ranking is 65! 2014 I aim to win my first tour 5 tournament and break through to the worlds top 50! I aim to play for Australia and win medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
